Russia’s oil production this year will not exceed 523 million tons.

The head of the Ministry of Energy, Nikolai Shulginov, summed up the final data on Russian oil production today. It is expected that in 2023 the extraction of black gold in the country will not exceed 523 million tons, it may even be slightly below the specified level.

A couple of months ago, Deputy Prime Minister for Fuel and Energy Alexander Novak called the forecast indicators of the above-mentioned bar. Russia will produce 525-527 million tons of oil by the end of 2023, Novak said. Thus, officials’ mining expectations for black gold are decreasing.

This indicator is also decreasing relative to the level of 2022, when Russia extracted 535 million tons of oil. That is, at the end of this year, this important indicator fell by 2.2%.
