As a result of the first quarter of 2024, Russia recorded a significant increase in federal budget revenues, both oil and gas and non-oil and gas.
This is reported by TASS with reference to the report of the Ministry of Economic Development (MED).
According to the agency, in the period from January to March, the total receipts of oil and gas revenues reached 2.9 trillion rubles. At the same time, the over-planned receipts of non-oil and gas revenues to the state treasury amounted to 5.8 trillion rubles.
The Ministry of Economic Development assessed the achieved results as significant. The department’s report emphasizes that the current dynamics of budget revenues indicates the steady implementation of the law on the federal budget.
Previously, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) It reported an increase in oil and gas revenues of the Russian budget by 82.2 percent in the first four months of 2024. In the period from January to April, these receipts to the state treasury amounted to 4,157 trillion rubles. The Ministry of Finance explained such a sharp increase in annual terms by a number of factors, including an increase in export prices for Russian oil and a one-time receipt of an additional payment for the mineral extraction tax (MET).
