Russia and India will consider the prospect of concluding new long-term contracts in the energy sector, according to a joint statement following the XXII Russian-Indian summit.
Separately, the document highlights the possibility of further increasing the volume of supplies of Russian coking coal and anthracite to India.
Recall that the Indian authorities had previously decided to significantly increase coal generation in the country in order to ensure stable supplies to consumers, especially during the summer heat.
The document also contains other priorities for cooperation, including chemistry, mechanical engineering and metallurgy, preparation for the organization of a free trade zone between the two countries, work between the two customs offices, and the transition to dawns in national currencies.
The statement states that the trade turnover between Russia and India reached $30 billion by the end of 2023, which is higher than planned, and by 2030 the countries are striving to increase it to $ 100 billion.
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak reported that the Russian Federation may conclude a long-term agreement on oil supplies to India, and is also studying the issue of increasing gas exports to this country, and we are talking about different options for delivering natural gas to this country.
It was also reported that Moscow and New Delhi are working on establishing systematic supplies of hydrocarbons along the Northern Sea Route, the sea route from Vladivostok and the North-South MTK.
