A new hydraulic fracturing (fracking) equipment developed as part of a joint project of KAMAZ and RIAT companies on import substitution of equipment for gas and oil production has been successfully tested at one of the fields in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District.
RIAT has created special chassis based on the KAMAZ-65221, KAMAZ-6560 and KAMAZ-7330 models for hydraulic fracturing equipment. The main developer of the equipment and the testing site were JSC Corporation Moscow Institute of Thermal Engineering (MIT) and FNPC Titan-Barricades. The FNP has been tested in a unique way at the factory and on-site.
KAMAZ and RIAT will continue to develop domestic production of equipment for the oil and gas industry, striving to ensure complete independence from imported equipment. It is planned that the serial production of hydraulic fracturing fleets will begin in 2025.
