The main topics of the training were geophysical studies of wells in the process of drilling, well trajectory control, telemetric systems and principles of their operation.
DrilLife Group organized the training for the representatives of the customer.
All wells at the customer’s fields are drilled using telemetric systems to obtain in-line measurements and geophysical properties of the formation when drilling.
“The objectives of using TMS include not only necessary parameters input into the production horizon and the conduct of the wellbore passage according to the planned values, but ruling out proximity and intersections with previously drilled wells”, says DrilLife Group expert. “We use modern advanced software to achieve such goals; it takes into account physical properties of drill string elements material, their geometric dimensions, the mechanical properties of rocks, the magnetic properties of the Earth, and builds well models prior to drilling. DrilLife Group owns all the necessary software and has high-quality specialists to perform calculations and simulation of wells”.
The company specialists during the theoretical part of the training provided detailed information about all possibilities of the telemetric equipment used by the company and visually demonstrated the test equipment in the lab during the practical unit.
“Such trainings develop partner relations with our customer. They provide a platform for a constructive dialogue to exchange opinions and increase the knowledge. The participants highly appreciated the quality of information provided, the level of training and the results. We agreed to move beyond and continue development of additional topics and communications”, said Director of Quality and Production Safety in DrilLife Group.
