Russian developers presented «smart molecules» to increase oil recovery using AI

Scientists from Russia have developed new chemical molecules using artificial intelligence, which will significantly increase the production of hydrocarbons in mature fields.

These innovative reagents will increase the oil recovery rate at complex assets and extend the development period of existing fields throughout the country.

The production of reagents is based on Russian raw materials and technologies. The use of AI has reduced the development process to 3 months, whereas traditional methods take at least 2 years. The effectiveness of the new substance was confirmed by tests at Kazan and Tyumen State Universities.
