Gazprom delivered a record volume of gas to China in the first days of the year.
The export agreement for 2024 with the People’s Republic of China provides that gas pumping through the Power of Siberia pipeline will be carried out at updated levels. And already on January 2, according to Gazprom, these volumes were exceeded by a record daily delivery.
Gazprom supplies gas to industry and ordinary consumers under a long-term contract with CNPC from the PRC. The Power of Siberia highway is scheduled to reach the maximum capacity included in the project in 2025. According to the plans, the volume of gas pumped through the Power of Siberia will reach 38 billion cubic meters per year.
Gazprom’s total exports of raw materials to China will grow to 48 billion cubic meters due to the gas pipeline through the Far East, and if we take into account the volume of supplies through the transit branch passing through Mongolia, the volume will grow to almost 100 billion cubic meters, Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller previously reported.
