«The floor to the youth» – this motto gave a start to DrilLife Group annual research and technical conference for young professionals.
Professionals from all the Group companies took part in the conference. Prior to opening session of the conference the company management official reminded that only twenty best young professionals reached the finals. They already got some working experience at DrilLife Group production facilities and knew what problems the company faced.
— We have just started to train specialists and encourage research activities of the employees. In a while we will reap the benefits of these first steps. We will also encourage bright intellects, — summarized the Deputy Director. Young specialists expressed great interest in the conference participation; the evaluation commission received more than thirty different reports and research projects.
For two days young professionals made their presentation before the judging panel and defended their advanced ideas implemented in the projects. The most impression was made by a specialist of the production scheduling and financial department of the drilling enterprise, who performed Incentive System Development Project for the company management. The young professional confidently spoke in favor of all his main points and did not leave a single question unanswered.
The first day was also highlighted by a very interesting report in energy efficiency made by repair and maintenance of electric equipment specialist DrilLife Group.
Big discussion was held about establishment of a single dispatcher control room at the premises DrilLife Group, and about implementation of new technologies and operation of fundamentally new oil and gas equipment. It is worth noting that all participants were well prepared. The supervisors came to the conference to support their teams.
Each project broke stormy discussion, which went far beyond the debate limit time. However, the participants patiently listened to each other and took active part in discussions being a welcome surprise for the judging panel.
All nine projects presented in the first day of the conference were approved by the judges.
